Therrien

The Process

First Meeting

Our first meeting will focus on defining the scope of work, so we understand the project and your expectations. We'll give you information about Therrien, including a client reference list, list of suppliers, and information explaining our company's history and the process we'll use to complete your project.

Preliminary Plans and Preliminary Cost Estimate

Next, we'll create a preliminary plan using the information you give us at the first meeting. Based on this plan, we'll develop a preliminary cost estimate. If the preliminary cost estimate fits your budget, and you are satisfied with the plans, we will begin final drawing preparation.

Design/Drawing Preparation

If you don't already have plans for your project, you have a few choices. Therrien will design the space for you, using one of our recommended architects, or we would be happy to work with an architect of your choice to develop the required construction plans and documents.

Final Proposal and Total Project Cost

After final plans and specifications are received, we will solicit bids from our sub-contractors and determine the total project scope. This will give us the information we need to produce a Final Proposal and Total Project Cost.

Presentation of Proposal including Project Cost

Once the proposal and total project costs are complete, well review all the details with you. The proposal includes a description of the project scope, detailed description of each facet of the project, allowances for fixtures that you will select (cabinetry, counter tops, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, etc.), total project cost, Project Completion Guarantee, payment schedule, and general provision. We also give you a start date and Project Schedule. At this time you will also receive your project specific Color Sheet for your use in making your fixture & finish selections. If everything meets with your expectations, we will have you sign the proposal, secure a deposit, and then it is time to get your project started. The next step is beginning construction.
